After living a full life, Ada Louise Thein, 88, of Pawnee, Ill., went to her heavenly home on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, Ill. Ada was born June 22, 1924, in Chatham, the daughter of Charles F. and Margaret L. Wilson Sallade, and she resided in Pawnee most of her life. She married Charles Richard William "Bill" Thein on May 28, 1950, in Pekin, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Bill, in 1992; and a sister, Alma. Ada was a member of Pawnee Assembly of God Church. She worked at the Sangamon Electric Co. and Armbruster Tent Manufacturing Co. She was an avid reader, Uno player and strong supporter of the Pawnee football team. She is survived by a large and loving family, including two sons, Joe (wife, Ann) Millburg, of Hingham, Mass., and Kitt W. (wife, Kelly) Thein, of Pawnee, Ill.; two daughters, Suzette L. (husband, Gary) Starr, of Pawnee, Ill., and Kim D. Thein of Kansas City, Mo.; two granddaughters, Valerie Starr, of St. Louis and Jennifer (husband, Mike) Lavoie, of Hingham, Mass; seven grandsons, Christopher (wife, Janelle) Millburg and Jon Millburg, of Hingham, Mass.; Matt (wife, Casie) Thein, of Bloomington, Ill.; Andrew (wife, Jenna) Thein, of Springfield; Jamin and Keagan Thein, of Pawnee; Justin (wife, Wendy) Stout, of Salem, Ore.; six great-grandchildren, Hannah and Thomas Lavoire and Colin Millburg of Hingham, Mass., and Hannah, Josiah and Aliyah Stout of Salem, Ore.; several neices, nephews and a dear cousin, as well as several friends that she loved like family. Ada's family will meet friends Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pawnee Assembly of God in Pawnee. A visitation also will be held Thursday, Dec. 27, at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., at Pawnee Assembly of God. The Rev. A.B. Bennett will officiate. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.
