PAWNEE, ILL. - Bobbi Jo Thomas, 49, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois. She was born Sept. 17, 1966, in Pekin, Illinois, the daughter of Ronald L. and Evelyn M. Pendland Grooms. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Terry Justice in 1999. Bobbi Jo was a certified nurse assistant and employed at the Auburn Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Auburn, Illinois. Bobbi Jo is survived by her grandmother, Dorothy E. Grimmett Grooms, of Pawnee; three sisters, Annette J. (husband, Jeff) Johnson, of Naples, Florida, Christine Trimmell, of Newton, Kansas and Angie Voth, of Eureka, Kansas; a brother, Kenneth R. Grooms, of Mechanicsburg; three nieces, Amber Frazzano, Jami Justice and Amanda Farmer; her uncle, Richard L. (wife, Sue) Grooms, of Pawnee and several cousins. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Girard, Illinois, with the Rev. Aaron Griffith officiating.
