Brooke Nichole Scott, 25, of Pawnee, Ill., departed this life for a better place on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill. She was surrounded by her family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed. She was born Feb. 22, 1990, in Taylorville, Ill., the daughter of Bruce J. and Brenda L. Kraus Scott. Brooke is survived by her father, Bruce, of Pawnee; her mother, Brenda, of Pana, Ill.; her daughter, Rylan Knepler; her grandparents, Ronnie and Jeannie Scott of Pawnee and Vivian Kliengberg of Pana; two brothers, Tanner J. (companion, Megan) Scott of Pawnee and Garret R. Stover of Colorado; two sisters, Shannon J. (husband, Rick) King of Auburn and Alyssa Williams of Kincaid, Ill.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life gathering of Brooke's family and friends will also be held, Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at North Park in Pawnee from noon to 4 p.m. Service: Saturday Oct. 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. Pawnee United Methodist Church 402 6th Street Pawnee, IL
