Charles "Chuck" Morris Boone, 64, of Pawnee, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville. He was born June 11, 1952, in Pawnee, the son of Donald E. and Margaret M. Truax Boone. He married Ila R. Kornack on Jan. 23, 1976, in Springfield. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ila Boone, in 2006. Chuck was of the Methodist faith. He attended Pawnee High School and was a truck driver for 33 years. Chuck is survived by one son, Chad F. (companion, Lauren Upp) Boone, of Springfield; one daughter, Renee A. (husband, Matt) Henson, of Pawnee; two grandchildren; one sister, Donna (husband, Jim) Stadtman, of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Chuck's family will meet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at the Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee. The Rev. Chuck Kurfman will officiate. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Chuck Boone.
