Charles "Chuck" J. Tindell, 78, of Edinburg, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill. Chuck was born Jan. 15, 1938, in St. Louis, the son of Ervin V. and Dorothy A. LeDent Tindell. He married Lisa E. Watson on Dec. 31, 1989. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Chuck was a farmer. He loved his coffee and enjoyed visiting with friends at the Kincaid Diner in Kincaid, Ill.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Lisa, of Edinburg; three sons, Charles J. (wife, Christine) Tindell Jr. of Lake Villa, Ill., Tommy J. (wife, Dana) Tindell of Pawnee and Robert A. (wife, Julie Ann) Tindell of Morrisonville, Ill.; two daughters, Barbara A. (husband, Bill) Marmet of Missouri and Christine (husband, Roger) Curless of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with one on the way; two brothers, Jerry T. Tindell and Garry L. Tindell, both of California; two sisters, Dorothy A. (husband, Herman) Amos of Edinburg and Dolly D. Yeakley of North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chuck's family will meet friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at the Curry Funeral Home, with Rev. Aaron Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery in Palmer.
