Auburn — David Albert Rohdeman, 61, of Auburn, Illinois, died peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was born June 1, 1963, in Taylorville, the son of John E. and Aray D. Cox Rohdeman. He married his high school sweetheart, Theresa Marie Henry, in Pawnee on Nov. 7, 1981. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Donnie Catizon.

David attended Pawnee High School. He was a farmer and loved working for Megginson Farms. In his free time, he loved fishing, camping and going on vacations. He looked forward to having family around and having fish fries.

David is survived by his wife, Theresa, of Auburn; two sons, Jake (fiancé, Cassi Ruyle) Rohdeman and Travis (wife, Jessica) Rohdeman of Auburn; a granddaughter, Layla; four stepgrandchildren, Bryson, Dylan, Cameron and Bella; two brothers, William (wife, Urna) Rohdeman of Springfield and Gary (companion, Lou Ann) Rohdeman of Virden; three sisters, Venice Catizon of Pawnee, Debbie (husband, Timothy) Miller of Naples and Karen (husband, Gary) Shade of Virden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private graveside service will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Family and friends are invited to Holy Cross Parish Hall in Auburn for a celebration of life gathering at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025.
