Rochester – Dean Alan Dickey, 62, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Dean was born July 29, 1956, in Springfield, the son of David W. and Claris R. Ford Dickey Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dean was member of the Pawnee United Methodist Church and graduated from Pawnee High School's class of 1974. Dean was a farmer in the Rochester and Pawnee area. He enjoyed animals, loved the outdoors and agriculture. Dean is survived by his sister, Nancy (husband, Renee) Dickey Oliver of Pawnee; four brothers, David (wife, Lois) Dickey of Rochester, Ron (wife, Lois) Dickey of Skytop, Pennsylvania, Dennis (wife, Sally) Dickey of Chatham and Steve (wife, Kathy) Dickey of Downers Grove; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dog, Arlo. Dean's family will meet friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Pawnee United Methodist Church in Pawnee with Rev. Chuck Kurfman officiating.
