Pawnee — Debra Sue Perschbacher, 68, of Pawnee, Illinois, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at her home in Pawnee. She was born Feb. 4, 1956, in Springfield, the daughter of George T. and Norma L. Brawner Young. She married Gregory C. Perschbacher on Sept. 18, 1976, at Pawnee United Methodist Church in Pawnee. Debra was preceded in death by her father and a sister-in-law, Connie J. Young.

Debra was a 1974 graduate of Pawnee High School. She was a creative that celebrated all things that flourished, from the flowers in her garden to the many pets she loved throughout her years. She was a member of the American Iris Society, the American Daylily Society and a passionate supporter of the Animal Protective League.

Debra is survived her husband, Greg, of Pawnee; two sons, Evan G. Perschbacher of Springfield and Adam G. (wife, Virginia) Perschbacher of Chicago; her mother, Norma "Sally" Young, of Pawnee; one sister, Christine (husband, Bob) Sherrock, of Taylorville; two brothers, Bob T. (companion, Cindy) Young and Ron D. (wife, Sherry) Young, both of Pawnee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private family services are planned. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.
