SPRINGFIELD — Declan Alexander Banker Barnett, infant son of Jordan M. Emery and Justin K. Banker Barnett, died Friday, April 12, 2024, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jeffrey Barnett; a great-grandfather, Ronald Barnett; and his uncle, Derek Banker Barnett, in 2021.

Declan is survived by his mother, Jordan, of Girard; his father, Justin, of Springfield; his maternal grandparents, Stephanie and Roger Emery, of Girard; his paternal grandmother, Marlene (partner, Ralph Wallace) Banker, of Springfield; a brother, Collin J. Stelle, and a sister, Emalyn R. Stelle, both of Girard; three uncles, Ryan W. and Bryce A. Emery, both of Girard, and Alex B. Wallace of Springfield; a great-grandmother, Mary Barnett, of Springfield; and a great-grandfather, Bobby G. Emery, of Girard.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Southern View Village Hall, 3410 S. Fifth St., Southern View, IL 62703.
