Delores Ann Flinn, 81, of Pawnee, Ill., passed away Friday, May 15, 2015, at her daughter's home in Atlanta, Ill. Delores was born Nov. 17, 1933, in Pawnee, the daughter of Harold R. and Freeda M. Boston Henson. She married George E. Flinn on June 24, 1951, at Pawnee United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George, in 2010; son Don Flinn; daughter Pamela; brother Harold Henson Jr. and great-grandson Jimmy Brooks. Delores was a lifelong member of the Pawnee United Methodist Church and active in the United Methodist Women. She graduated from Pawnee High School in 1951 and later served as a secretary for the Pawnee Community Unit School District 11 for 15 years. She also worked at the McFarland Mental Health Center for 15 years. Delores is survived by a son, Brian L. Flinn, of Lovington, N.M.; a daughter, Jill L. (husband, Tim) Morrow, of Atlanta, Ill.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Duane Henson, of Texas and a sister, Yvonne Edge, of California. Delores' family will meet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Pawnee United Methodist Church. The Rev. Chuck Kurfman will officiate. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Memorial honoring Delores are asked to be made to the Pawnee United Methodist Church or to a local food pantry. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Delores Flinn.
