Pawnee — Dreagon H. Crist, 11, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Dreagon was born Dec. 27, 2004, in Springfield, the son of Casey A. and Jia McKinney Crist. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Norma McKinney and his uncle Adam Buckley. Dreagon attended Pawnee Assembly of God Church and was a fifth grader at Pawnee Elementary School. He played for the Pawnee Junior Football League and was a former member of the Royal Rangers. He is survived by his parents, Casey and Jia, of Pawnee; two brothers, Riley J. Crist of Jacksonville and Jace A. Crist of Pawnee; grandmothers, Marla McKinney of Taylorville and Sandra Grah of Taylorville; grandfathers, Al Gatton of Nokomis and Michael Crist of Pawnee; and great-grandmother, Cheryl Giger of Virden. Dreagon's family will meet friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at the Pawnee Assembly of God Church. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the church with the Rev. Scott Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery.
