Pawnee – Frances Ruth Pickett, 89, of Pawnee, died Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Auburn Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Auburn. Frances was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Pawnee, the daughter of James A. and Frances M. Colline Jones. She married Ernest "Gene" Pickett on Dec. 9, 1950, in Pawnee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene, in 2010; and her sister, Barb Student. Frances was a graduate of Pawnee High School. She had worked for AT&T and was the bookkeeper for the Pawnee Elevator. She retired from the administration offices of Pawnee Schools. Frances is survived by one son, Ernie "Butch" (wife, Janet) Pickett, of Pawnee; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim (wife, Peggy) Jones of Divernon; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 17, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. The family of Frances Pickett is being served by Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee.
