Springfield — Fredrick Joseph "Joe" Tremain, 48, of Springfield, Illinois, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Joe was born July 19, 1976, in Springfield, the son of Randy E. and Cathy M. Tremain Sr. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; paternal grandfather, Leo Tremain; and two uncles, Richard and Frank Tremain.

Joe attended Southeast High School in Springfield and worked in the construction and roofing industry. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and working on bicycles and roofing projects.

He is survived by his parents, Randy and Cathy Tremain, of Springfield; one brother, Randy E. (wife, Kathryn "Kate") Tremain Jr., of Taylorville; one sister; Christina M. (husband, Caleb) Sheets, of Springfield; his grandmother, Myrtle Tremain, of Springfield; and six nieces, Kailee and Irene Tremain, Abigail Vocks, Melody Wolf and Sophia and Zoey Sheets; and two nephews, Loren and Jermiah Vocks.

A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Grandview Municipal Building at 1620 N. Milton Ave. in Springfield, with Rev. Gary Sheets officiating.
