Geneva Adeline Weber, 96, of Pawnee, Ill., passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, at her home. Geneva was born June 24, 1915, in Blue Mound, Ill., the daughter of Charles F. Norman and Della M. Thompson Norman. She married William Leslie Weber on Dec. 25, 1934, in Pawnee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie, in 1996; a grandson, Shane, in 1996; a brother, Donald; and three sisters, Iris, Frances and Vera. Geneva was a member of the Pawnee United Methodist Church and the Pawnee Order of the Eastern Star 436. She was devoted to her family and grandkids, and she loved working in her flower garden. She is survived by two sons, Dean (wife, Janet) Weber, of Pawnee, and James R. (wife, Donna) Weber, of St. Louis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at the Pawnee United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 10 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Flo Scott officiating. Burial will be in Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Memorials may be made to the Pawnee United Methodist Church or the Pawnee Food Pantry. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Geneva Weber.
