James Michael Agans, age 62, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at Meadow Manor in Taylorville, Ill. Mike was born Nov. 15, 1951 in Springfield, Ill. and was a brick layer, a cab driver and a musician. He is survived by one daughter; Trinity N. Agans of Springfield; one son, SSGT Justin D. (Michelle) Rankin USMC of Iwakuni, Japan; his mother, Cindy Agans of Pawnee; two brothers, Terry (Debbie) Agans of Pawnee, and Steve (Stacy) Agans of Lexington, Ill.; one sister, Sherry (Rich) Harrison of Pawnee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike's family will meet friends on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee. The Rev. Kathleen Lossau will officiate.
