James "Jimmy" Issac Hill, 56, of Springfield, Ill., formerly of Loami, Ill., passed away peacefully at his home Nov. 18, 2014. He was born April 22, 1958, the son of James L. Hill and Minnie P. Ellenburg. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Brandi Rose Hill; a sister, Rose Marie Phillips; and a brother, Sylvester I. "Tate" Hill Jr. Jimmy worked as an iron worker. Jimmy was survived by his wife, Carol, of Springfield; two daughters, Angel Hill of Springfield and Jessica Hill of Kansas; a son, James Hill, of Springfield; a stepson, Isaac; three brothers, Calvin Hill of St. Paul, Minn., Thomas Hill of Loami and; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Private family services were held at Loami Christian Church in Loami. The Rev. Anthony Bliss officiated. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee, Ill., served the family of Jimmy Hill.
