Jane L. Brown, 93, of Pawnee, Ill., died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill. Jane was born Sept. 20, 1920, in Pawnee, the daughter of Herman H. and Lucy Crocker Landrey. She married Thomas L. Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tom, in 1987 and three brothers, Howard, Leland and Merle. Jane graduated from Pawnee High School and retired from the State of Illinois. She is survived by her son, H. Thomas Brown, of Pawnee; two grandchildren, Rye Brown of Rochester and Amber Brown of Kincaid; one brother, Alvin L. (wife, Jean) Landrey, of Pawnee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Private family services were held with Rev. A.B. Bennett officiating. Burial was in Horse Creek Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Jane Brown.
