Jean Elizabeth Morris, 90, of Pawnee, Ill., passed away June 15, 2013, at her home in Pawnee. Jean was born May 24, 1923, in Hannibal, Mo., the daughter of Everette C. and Mary J. Kaup O'Hern. She married Jack Morris Dec. 14, 1943, in Salina, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; a brother, Richard; a sister, Lois Dafnus; and two grandsons, Bryan M. Kramer and Michael A. Catteau Jr. Jean was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church in Kincaid, Ill. She retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation in 1992. Jean is survived by three daughters, Cynthia (husband, David) Kramer of Pawnee, Deborah (husband, Roland) Eckert of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Melinda (husband, Michael) Catteau of Pawnee; eight grandchildren, Christopher Dalton, Ann Kramer (husband, Nat) Seiz, Jennifer Kramer (husband, Ricky) Reuchlen, Scott Eckert, Paul Eckert, Beth Eckert (husband, Mike) Moss, John Eckert, Stephanie Catteau (husband, Todd) Cummings; 14 great-grandchildren, Chase Dalton, Lucas, Xavier and Abigail Seiz, Andrew and Theodore Reuchlen, Summer, Rain and Ocean Eckert, Madison and Abby Moss, and Autumn, August and Audrey Cummings. Private services will be held with the Rev. Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Jean Morris.
