PAWNEE — Jeromy J. Chevalier, 45, of Pawnee, Illinois, passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at his home. He was born March 20, 1976, in Springfield, the son of Terry A. and Gail E. Smith Chevalier. Jeromy married Bobbi J. Hill on Sept. 13, 2003, at the Pawnee United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Morris "Smitty" and Vivian Smith and Rene and Julie Chevalier; a stepbrother, Scott Zini; a stepsister, Kristill Zini; and a niece, Sailor Packard. Jeromy was baptized in the Methodist faith. He was a 1994 graduate of Pawnee High School. During high school, he worked at Island Bay Yacht Club in Springfield for several years. He was a union plasterer in Springfield for 10 years and a member of Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons' Local 18. He later became a real estate broker and worked for Snelling-Chevalier Real Estate Inc. in Pawnee for 15 years, and most recently, worked in construction. Jeromy was a former member of the Pawnee Chamber of Commerce and the Pawnee Lions Club. He was an action sports enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family. Jeromy is survived by Bobbi Chevalier of Springfield; his mother, Gail Chevalier (husband, Harry) Zini, of Pawnee; his father, Terry (wife, Bonnie) Chevalier, of Divernon; one daughter, Carly R. (companion, Harry Suiter) Chevalier, of Springfield; one son, Collin J. (friend, Audrey Feagans) Chevalier, of Pawnee; one stepsister, Katie L. (husband, Brandon) Packard, and their children, Quinn and Laynie, of Divernon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeromy's family will meet friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, including wearing masks. Burial will be at a later date at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Jeromy's children's educational fund.
