John Franklin Barger, 77, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Meadow Manor in Taylorville, Ill. He was born Jan. 19, 1937, in Springfield, Ill., the son of Fred F. and Ruth F. Hill Barger. John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rose Anne Selhime. John was a maintenance man, groomed race horses and painted houses. He is survived by one brother, Walt Barger, of Pawnee, Ill., and several nieces and nephews. John's family will meet friends on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of John Barger.
