Kallan Sams, infant daughter of Jennifer R. Smith and Jason L. Sams of Springfield, Ill., passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. In addition to her parents, Kallan is survived by her maternal grandparents, Brenda (fianc̩, Kerry Gambrel) Oller of Springfield, Ben (wife, Wendi) Smith of Taylorville, and Gary Sandidge of Springfield; her great-grandmother, Betty Dean, of Taylorville; paternal grandparents, Connie (husband, Randy) Matlock of Pawnee, Terry Sams of Pawnee and Kurt (wife, Jenny) Behrent of Pawnee; her great-grandfather, Fred Sams, of Taylorville; several aunts and uncles, including Amanda Smith of Rochester, Phillip Smith of Taylorville, Jenny (husband, Matthew) Gillick of Pawnee, Janette (husband, Damian) Feeny of Highland and Alicia (husband, Brannon) Smith of Pana; and her great-aunt, Sheryl (husband, Brion) White of Taylorville.
