Kenneth M. Fry Pawnee -- Kenneth M. Fry, 93, of Pawnee, Ill., died Aug. 14, 2015, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born March 12, 1922, on the family farm in Pawnee, the son of William F. and Hattie E. Mitchel Fry. He married Ruth M. Wilson in St. Louis on Aug. 12, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth, in 2008; his daughter-in-law Pamela Fry in 2007; and his sister, Marjorie L. Moose-Faulkner in 2015. He was a graduate of Pawnee High School and attended Brown's Business College. Kenneth was a member of Pawnee Masonic Lodge #675 A.F & A.M. for more than 60 years and was a member of the Horse Creek Cemetery board for 41 years. Kenneth was a member of the Farmers Hall of Fame and the Sangamon County Farm Bureau. He was an avid farmer and a collector of John Deere toy tractors. Kenneth is survived by two sons, Keith W. (wife, Marie) Fry and Kendall W. (wife, Terri) Fry, both of Pawnee; four grandchildren; Jon, Lance, Lahni and Dalton, seven great-grandchildren; Jarod, Levi, Chaya, Taylor, Kolton, Dawson and Sophia; his companion, Karen Shafer and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenneth's family will meet friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at the Pawnee United Methodist Church. An addition visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at the Pawnee United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dan Edwards and Rev. Chuck Kurfman will officiate. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Memorials honoring Kenneth may be made to the Pawnee Food Pantry or to a church of your choice.
