Pawnee — Kenyon Mitchell Bradley, 57, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Friday, April 4, 2025, at his home in Pawnee. He was born Aug. 14, 1967, in Springfield, the son of Homer and Jean Carter Bradley. He married Sharolyn Brown at Pawnee Christian Church on July 15, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kory Bradley; and a sister, Kim Vendl.

Kenyon was a 1985 graduate of Springfield Southeast High School, and he earned a certification from the American Board of Opticianry. Kenyon liked to bicycle and travel, and his trips had included backpacking and hiking at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. He was an avid collector of model airplanes and loved to watch aviation movies, yet he was terrified to fly. Kenyon even appeared as an extra in the movie, "Up in the Air," with George Clooney.

Kenyon is survived by his wife, Sharolyn, of Pawnee; two daughters, Emily (husband, Josh) Uhrich of Pawnee and Aubrey (husband, Nathan) Bury of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren, Hazel, Hadley, Edison and Archer; three brothers, Kent (wife, Paula) Bradley of Springfield, Kyle (wife, Pam) Bradley of Williamsville and Kelly Bradley of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Pawnee Christian Church in Pawnee, with Rev. David Swihart officiating. Following the service, Kenyon's family will meet with family and friends in the church's fellowship hall.
