Leona Katherine Sisk, 86, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at Auburn Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Auburn, Illinois. Leona was born June 28, 1927, in Aliva, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Giovanna Dezorzi Corso. She married Nathanial W. Sisk on July 24, 1967, in Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nathanial, in 2010; stepsons Robert and William Sisk; son-in-law Larry Kuchar; two sisters, Rena Marcogliese and Mary Pinnell. Leona graduated from Kincaid High School in Kincaid, Illinois. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Kuchar, of Pawnee; son, Andy (wife, Kim) Sisk, of Auburn; daughter-in-law Susie Sisk; grandchildren, Cory and Jessica Sisk, Chris, Mathew, Ryan and Violet Kuchar and Scarlet Brown; great-grandson, Clint Kuchar; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Leona's family will meet friends Tuesday, June 10, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee with Rev. Aaron Griffiths officiating. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Auburn Rehabilitation and Health Care Center staff appreciation fund.
