Obituary

LeRoy Vern Cincebox, 77, of Pawnee, Ill., died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at St. John's Hospice in Springfield, Ill. He was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Pawnee, the son of Vern L. and Eva M. Rose Cincebox. He married Donna JoAnn Herberger on Dec. 11, 1954, at the Pawnee Assembly of God Church. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margret Marie; a son, Dennis LeRoy; and a daughter, Donna Karlene. LeRoy was a member of the Pawnee Assembly of God Church, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for the state of Illinois Capital Development Board, and he was a union carpenter with Carpenters Local #16. LeRoy also was a member of the Illinois Police Association. LeRoy enjoyed singing and motorcycles. He was a good provider for his family, and he loved helping people. He loved the Lord, and he loved being a dad and a grandpa. LeRoy is survived by his wife, JoAnn, of Pawnee; a son, Kim Cincebox, of Pawnee; two daughters, Denise (husband, Howard) Searcy and Teresa (husband, Tony) Rudin, both of Springfield; five grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Witty and Hannah, Anthony and Lukas Rudin; a brother, Allen (wife, RuthAnn) Cincebox, of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. LeRoy's family will meet friends on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee. A visitation also will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Pawnee Assembly of God Church. The Rev. A.B. Bennett and Rev. Everett Herberger will officiate. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors.
