SPRINGFIELD – Leslie Clay Brown, 58, of Springfield, Ill., died on June 4, 2017, at Vibra Hospital in Springfield. Leslie was born Sept. 23, 1958, in Decatur, Ill., the son of Edward H. and Martha Lou Moomey Brown. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Leslie graduated from Southeast High School in 1977 and worked for Goodwill Industries. He is survived by his two sisters, Debra K. Hatchett, of Springfield and Karla L. (husband, Mark) Hart, of New Berlin, Ill. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, Ill., with James Moy officiating. Memorials honoring Leslie may be made to United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln, 101 N. 16th Springfield, IL 62703. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Leslie Brown.
