Pawnee — Lisa Ann Leaser, 50, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Lisa was born May 21, 1974, in Springfield, the daughter of Robert G. and Denise E. Miller Wilson. She married John D. Leaser on Nov. 15, 2002, in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father; a brother, Christopher D. Vickers; and a nephew, Cody M. Caraker.

Lisa was a 1992 graduate of Pawnee High School and attended Robert Morris College. She was employed by the Illinois Secretary of State for the past four years. Lisa enjoyed attending sporting events and watching her son play. She loved '80s music, the TV series "Friends" and "The Big Bang Theory." Lisa also loved cats and enjoyed going to zoos.

Lisa is survived by her husband, John "JD" Leaser; her mother, Denise (husband, Danny) Vickers; a son, Cole, all of Pawnee; a daughter, Jessica Long, of East Peoria; a granddaughter, Lina; two brothers, Bobby (wife, Lori) Wilson of Virden and Jesse (wife, Bobbi) Vickers of Mason City, Iowa; three sisters, Sara (husband, Damion) Cunningham of Harvel, Nicole (husband, Jarred) Borell of Rochester and Amy (companion, Pete) Wilson of McHenry; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a very dear friend-niece, Cassandra Welch.

Lisa's family will meet friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, at Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee, with Rev. A.B. Bennett officiating.
