Lois Ann Dickey, 85, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Lois was born Aug. 2, 1935, in Pawnee, the daughter of Roy E. and Esther McTaggart Dozier. She married James E. Dickey Sept. 17, 1954, at the Pawnee United Methodist Church. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim, in 2018; and her sister, Mary Lou Knostman. Lois was a member of the Pawnee United Methodist Church and the Pawnee Methodist Women's Funeral Dinner Committee. She was a 1953 graduate of Pawnee High School. Lois was a past matron and 67-year member of the Pawnee Order of the Eastern Star #436. Lois is survived by two sons, Thomas E. (wife, Lisa) Dickey of Collinsville and Ralph E. (wife, Debbie) Dickey of Barnhart, Missouri; two daughters, Teresa A. (husband, Bill) Dickey-Rogers and Lisa I. (husband, Mark) Klein, both of Pawnee; five grandchildren; Tom T. (companion, Donnie Wood) Dickey, Christy Schmalfeld, Christopher (companion, Mathew) Dickey, Melissa (husband, Devon) Nance and Abbigail Dickey; and one great-grandson, Lane Nance. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee with Rev. Chuck Kurfman officiating.
