Lovah Jeanne (Trickett) Swale, age 90 of Englewood, Colo., died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at Caley Ridge Assisted Living in Englewood, Colo. Lovah was born September 13, 1926, in Kincaid, Ill., the daughter of Walter B. and Sylvia M. Spitzer Trickett. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradley; two brothers, Roger and Walter; four sisters, Melba, Marge, Carmen and Judy; and a granddaughter, Amy Nicole. She retired in 1988 from office administration of General Foods in Northlake, Ill., She is survived by her son, Gary (wife, Jorie) Smith of Elizabeth, Colo.; and a daughter, Karen Ratliff of Lonetree, Iowa; four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great, great granddaughter, a brother, Ronald (wife, Jean) Trickett of Ankeny, Iowa, and her best friend for over 50 years, Mary Cosgrove of Elmhurst, Ill. Lovah's family will meet friends Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, from 10 a.m. at the Curry Funeral Home, Pawnee, Ill. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee with the Rev. Aaron Griffith officiating. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Lovah J. Swale.
