Lucille Mae Hill, 90, of Pawnee, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at her home. Lucille was born Dec. 24, 1922, in Nilwood, Ill., the daughter of Simpson Julius (Tim) and Ethel F. Rucker Harris. She married Joseph R. Hill on May 16, 1940, in St. Louis, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe, in 1986; two sons, Harold Raymond in 1950 and Gary W. in 2012; two brothers, Frank (John) Harris and Robert Harris; two sisters, Hazel M. Sorci Miller and Fran O'Connor; and a son-in-law, Windy Borrie. Lucille was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, James R. (wife, Sharon) Hill of Palmer, Ill.; two daughters, Mary L. Borrie of Couderay, Wisc., and Betty J. (husband, David) Hankinson of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; four sisters; Helen J. Warzynski of Boynton Beach, Fla., Leona O'Lone of Hometown, Ill., Lou (husband, Larry) Berg of Palos Heights, Ill., and Ruth (husband, Frank) Candreva of Parkland, Fla.; a daughter-in-law Sandra Hill of Pawnee, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lucille's family will meet friends on Sunday, Jan. 6, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Curry Funeral Home, 407 Carroll St., Pawnee. A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Curry Funeral Home. The Rev. Aaron Griffith will officiate. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions honoring Lucille be made to the Pawnee Food Pantry, Memorial Hospice or to the Les Turner ALS Foundation, 5550 W.
