Marjorie Lee Moose Faulkner, 97, of Springfield, formerly of Pawnee, Ill., passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, at Oak Terrace HealthCare Center in Springfield. Marjorie was born June 28, 1917, in Pawnee, the daughter of William F. and Hattie E. Mitchel Fry. She married Lloyd E. Moose in 1938 in Pawnee. He preceded her in death in1962. Marjorie married David E. Faulkner in 1969 and he preceded her in death in1997. Marjorie was an active, 76-year member of Central Baptist Church. She graduated from Brown's Business College in Springfield in 1935. Marjorie worked for the Central Illinois Midland Railroad, and she retired from Central Illinois Light Company. She was a longtime member of the Springfield Motor Boat Club and the Irene Smith Circle of Kings Daughters. Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Barbara J. (husband, James) Flint, of Whitefish Bay, Wisc.; a son, Larry W. (wife, Karen) Moose, of Springfield; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Fry, of Pawnee; two nieces and three nephews. Marjorie's family will meet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Central Baptist Church, 501 S. Fourth St., Springfield. The Rev. Mary Ellen Sharp will officiate. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Memorials honoring Marjorie may be made to the Central Baptist Church, 501 S. Fourth St., Springfield, IL 62701. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Marjorie Faulkner.
