Michael Wayne Yucus, 34, of Jacksonville, Illinois, formerly of Springfield, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville. Michael was born June 30, 1986, in Springfield, the son of Michael A. Yucus and Kay M. Carlson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Joyce Carlson and Kenny Yucus. Michael graduated from Lanphier High School in Springfield in 2006. He is survived by his mother, Kay Rudolph, of Springfield; grandmother, Sondra Yucus, of Springfield; stepfather, Dwayne Rudolph, of Pleasant Plains; three sisters, Amanda J. Yucus of Edinburg, Danyelle N. (husband, Aaron) Orf of Athens and Angela Rudolph Gray of Pawnee; fiancée, Miranda West, of Jacksonville; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his cat, Sabrina. No services are planned. Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee is serving the family of Michael Yucus.
