Nancy JoAnn Lytle, 74, of Pawnee, Ill., passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill. Nancy was born Nov. 21, 1937, in Pawnee, the daughter of Lamoin L. and Geraldine M. Pickett Edwards. She married Vernon L. Lytle on Sept. 1, 1961, at Pawnee Assembly of God in Pawnee. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Edwards; and a sister, Beverly J. Lytle. Nancy graduated from Pawnee High School in 1955. She was a member of Pawnee Assembly of God where she served as a Sunday School teacher and organist for over 50 years and led the adult group, Sonseekers, for many years. She also led a Bible study at the Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She is survived by her husband, Vern, of Pawnee; a son, Lamoin E. (wife, Debbie) Lytle, of Pawnee; and a daughter, Robin E. (husband, Gibb) Vinson, of Chatham, Ill.; five grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Kathy Tasker, of Chatham; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy's family will meet friends Thursday, Oct. 11, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pawnee Assembly of God in Pawnee. A visitation also will be held Friday, Oct. 12, at 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m., at Pawnee Assembly of God. The Rev. A.B. Bennett will officiate. Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pawnee Assembly of God, 1001 N. 8th St., Pawnee, IL 62558.
