Pawnee -- Nicole Lynn "Nikki" Maxey, 31, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill. Nikki was born June 20, 1984, in Springfield, the daughter of Richard S. and Debra A. Reese Maxey. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Edward Reese and an uncle, Donald Reese. Nikki graduated from Lanphier High School and was a Culinary Arts student at Lincoln Land Community College. She is survived by her father, Rick (wife, Diane) Maxey, of Pawnee and her mother, Debra Lynn of Springfield; grandparents, Ed and Gerry Maxey and Mary Reese, of Springfield; her son, Asher S. Maxey; one brother, Brandon D. Maxey, of Pawnee; one sister, Misty L. (husband, Shawn) Blake of Virden; two step sisters, Christy L. (husband, Chris) Metz of Mt. Sterling and Melissa K. (companion, Matt) Pleshe of Pawnee; two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Nikki's family will meet friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. The Rev. Aaron Griffith will officiate.
