PAWNEE — Robert Lee Baka, 75, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Robert was born May 23, 1946, in Ashland, Wisconsin, the son of Albert S. and Anna T. Sefick Baka. He married Nancy Kilhoffer on Aug. 20, 1977. They later divorced. He married Jennifer L. Hall on May 22, 2011, in Petersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dennis Baka. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran. He graduated from Beardstown High School in Beardstown and was a machinist for several years at Pryco Inc. in Mechanicsburg and at Eaton Hydraulics in Petersburg for 13 years. Robert is survived by his wife, Jennifer Baka, of Pawnee; one son, Bradley K. (wife, Amber) Baka, of Pawnee; one daughter, Lori B. Baka, of Dixon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Madison and Brady Baka, Bret and Haily Cook, Tracy Peague, Ally Marie Green and James Ratliff; one brother, William (wife, Diana) Baka, of O'Fallon, Missouri; three sisters, Rochelle (husband, Cliff) Roberts of Lodi, Wisconsin, Jennifer Micheli of Tampa, Florida, and Mary Brinkley of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert's family will meet friends at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee with Rev. James Palakudy officiating.
