Springfield — Robert "Bob" Allen Selhime, 64, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield. Bob was born May 5, 1953, in Vallejo, California, the son of Robert H. and Rose A. Barger Selhime. He married Dana Ahlers on Aug. 14, 1994, in Thayer. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dana, in 2016; and his mother-in-law, Cheryl Caldwell.

Bob worked as a bus driver for First Student in Springfield and as a truck driver for 30 years. He retired from Donley Trucking Co. in 2017 after 15 years of service.

Bob is survived by two sons, Paul J. (wife, Jessica) Selhime, of Virden and Mickey N. Ryan of Springfield; six grandchildren; one brother, Mark Selhime, of Pawnee; two sisters, Millie F. (husband, David) Sidars of Floyd, Virginia, and Cathy M. (husband, Randy) Tremain of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob's family will meet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee, with Rev. Randy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.
