Pawnee — Sandra Jo Iversen, 82, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at her home. Sandra was born July 17, 1935, in Springfield, the daughter of Matthew M. and Melba K. Trickett Sporer. She married Darrell C. Iversen May 5, 1956, in Springfield. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and her son Darrell Jr. Sandra was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pawnee, where she also was a member of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society and taught catechism. She was a member of Catholic Women United. As an only child, Sandra wanted a large family, with which she was blessed. She loved her family and devoted her life to them. Sandra is survived by her husband, Darrell, of Pawnee; three sons, Mark (companion, Debbie Bowen) Iversen of Pawnee, Gregory (wife, Tamara) Iversen of Springfield and Todd Iversen of Pawnee; two daughters, Cynthia (husband, Steven) Jones of Pawnee and Monica (husband, Charles) Keran of Springfield; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special caregiver, Lacy. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee. Rev. James Palakudy will officiate.
