Sheri Rae (Miller-Ward) Seelund, 50, of Pawnee, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill. Sheri was born Aug. 18, 1962, in Springfield. Sheri is survived by her mother, Isabelle Jane Ward and step-father Sam Ward of Pawnee; three brothers, Tim (partner, Rick) Ward, of Tampa, Fla., Troy (wife, Debbie) Ward, of Taylorville, Ill., and Todd (wife, Connie) Ward, of Springfield; two sisters, Chrissy (partner, Joe) Miller, of San Francisco, Calif., and Michelle (husband, Reuben) Johnson, of Denver, Colo.; six nieces; three nephews; one great-niece; and two great-nephews. Sheri graduated from Pawnee High School in 1980, and she previously worked at South Central Illinois Mortgage Company. Sheri dedicated her life to caring for everyone she loved. Giving to others and making life easier for them gave Sheri the greatest joy! She enjoyed cooking, traveling, making others look their very best, and spending quality time with family and friends. She also loved her Packers and Cubs teams. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Miller; her grandparents; and a niece. Sheri's family will meet friends Saturday, Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon at the Curry Funeral Home in Pawnee. The Rev. Aaron Griffith will officiate. Burial will be in Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pawnee Fire Department and EMS, P.O. Box 922, Pawnee, IL 62558.
