PAWNEE — Timothy Shawn Applegate, 65, of Pawnee, Illinois, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born June 11, 1956, in Casey, the son of Robert D. and Juanita L. Ring Applegate. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Todd. Tim graduated from Casey High School in 1974 and Lakeland Community College with an associate degree in civil engineering. He was an estimator and project manager at Perry Broughton Trucking & Excavating Inc. in Springfield since 2000. He previously worked at the Illinois Department of Transportation. Tim was an avid hunter and loved watching Western movies. Tim is survived by two daughters, Amanda L. Radford of Auburn and Taylor S. Applegate of Pawnee; one granddaughter, Alani; two brothers, Scott, (wife, Mary) Applegate of Casey and Rodney (wife, Denise) Applegate of Sparks, Nevada; and two nieces, Meghan and Elizabeth.
